About Dr. Ronan Kehoe

Dr. Ronan Kehoe is a director at Dreenan Medical and is our lead medical clinician when conducting assessments.

Ronan graduated from Queens University Belfast in 2006 with degrees of Bachelor of Medicine (MB), Bachelor of Surgery (Bch), Bachelor of Obstetrics (BAO). Ronan is a fully registered Medical Practitioner with the General Medical Council (London) and has Specialist Registration with the General Medical Council in the speciality of Old Age Psychiatry and sub-speciality of Old Age Liaison Psychiatry. Ronan is a member of The Royal College of Psychiatrists (London).

Ronan has been working as a Consultant Old Age Psychiatrist since August 2016. He currently holds the role of Lead Medical Clinician with the Northern Trust MCA DOLs team and sits on the regional MCA DOLs implementation group. He had previously held the post of Consultant Old Age Psychiatrist with the Mental Health Liaison Team based at the Northern Trust and Clinical Liaison Lead at Causeway Hospital, Coleraine.

Until August 2016, Ronan also held the joint post of Lead Clinical Teaching Fellow at Western Trust where he also obtained a distinction in a Masters in Clinical Education from QUB with published work recognised by awards from QUB (Education Research prize 2015) and RQIA Education and Innovation Award 2016.
